Santiago-San Esteban, Ilocos Sur

M E S S A G E

As always, I am greatly honored and elated to greet the people of San Esteban, Ilocos Sur on the occasion of their Annual Town Fiesta. Amidst the wonderful spirit of Christmas, it is a rare opportunity for celebration and merry-making to get away from the pressure and humdrum of work and enjoy the festive shows and entertainment in store for all.

Once again, a page is turned in the history of San Esteban to end a fruitful year and begin a new chapter full of hope and excitement. The future may not be too promising as the nation's economy continues to struggle but the San Estebanians are optimistic and hardworking lot, confident as ever the sun is shining bright behind the dark clouds. Wherever they are they keep in touch with their native land to be abreast with local news and development and to lend a helping hand to whoever needs it. Thanks to the Internet, global friendship and cooperation can be built to cross the boundaries of faith and cultures. My heart goes to all Filipinos working overseas who, by the power of their mighty dollars flowing to the country, have helped tremendously in the national growth. Indeed they are our modern-day heroes.

The whole staff of MCTC of Santiago-San Esteban whishes to thank the people of San Esteban for their invaluable support to the anti-crime campaign of the municipality thus making it a truly peaceful place to live in. it is our fervent hope that such an atmosphere will prevail throughout the land.

Here's wishing all HAPPY FIESTA AND MERRY CHRISTMAS!
