Mr. Filomeno Europa and the former Norma Balucanag celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary at the St. Stephen Proto-Martyr Church last June 26, 2004. Their renewal of vows of the Holy Matrimony was solemnized by Rev. Fr. Raymond Joaquin Ancheta.

     To celebrate this momentous and extraordinary event that will take place in the lives of a married couple, the immediate descendants of the Mg. Meno and Mg. Norma, headed by their children planned and contributed in the festivities and made sure that their parents will be fully satisfy with the celebration. And with these, six of the seven offspring of the Europas attended the occasion. Lulu and Paul with Ryan, Jason and Lionel; Rachel and Danny; Marjoe; Maridel with JC, Kyra and Kaye; Winston and Susan with Guinevere, Shanahan and Edelweiss and Didi with Faye and June Brendan were among the present in the affair while Gerlyn was represented by his son Jordache. Most of the offspring traveled as far from the United States with their families to signify their enthusiasm of this one time episode on the lives of their parent.

     Several hundreds of relatives and friends also joined in the celebration of 50th wedding anniversary. They were treated for a dinner and cocktails held at our municipal auditorium after the church proceedings. Due to the sudden downpour of rains, most of the affair’s prepared program was deviated but with the performance of the live band, which the host hired, the family and as well as the other guest enjoyed the night with their dances, sing-a-longs, spontaneous remarks from the children and picture takings.
